The Comparison of Methods for The Evaluation of Woven Fabric Hand
Keywords:

This article concerns two methods for textile hand evaluation and their comparison. The blind respondents carried out subjective assessment: in terms, best characterizing textile hand. Instrumental measurement was based on extraction of the circular specimen through the circular hole: determining the parameters of physical and mechanical fabric properties. In order to compare these two methods the ranking method was used. Correlations between subjective hand parameters and mechanical properties of the fabrics were determined. Also optimal set of parameters determining complex rate was defined. The obtained results had shown that correlations between subjective assessment and objective evaluation methods are quite high.
