After invention of holography by Dennis Gabor in 1947 it is widely used in various areas. The development of new holography methods made it suitable for new industrial and scientific applications: printing, security and authentication, sensors, data storage, particles analysis, etc. This review will focus mainly on the development of the optical holography and its application for security and authentication. Other methods and applications such as measurements, particle analysis and data storage are discussed as well.Downloads
